What we do

Everything your eyes are likely to need

Comprehensive eye exam

How well you see, and how healthy your eyes are.

Refraction & prescription

The exact measurement behind your glasses or contacts.

Contact lens fitting

Measured, trialled, and taught before you take any home.

Children’s vision

Picture-based testing from age three.

Glaucoma screening

Painless, no drops, about fifteen minutes.

Diabetic eye screening

The yearly retinal check that protects your sight.

Our laboratory

We cut your lenses ourselves

The edging lab is in the clinic, not in another city. Most single-vision glasses are cut during the same visit, and if a frame needs adjusting afterwards you walk back in and we do it while you wait.

A licensed optometrist examines you

Not an assistant, not a sales assessment. Every examination at Galaura is performed by a licensed optometrist, who writes the prescription and explains it in plain language.

4,795 visits, and counting

We opened in June 2024. Between January 2025 and August 2026 we recorded 4,795 patient visits from about 4,500 people, almost entirely through word of mouth.

Patient stories

4,795 visits, and the faces behind them

We opened in June 2024. Between January 2025 and August 2026 we recorded 4,795 patient visits from about 4,500 people, almost entirely because someone told someone else. These were photographed at the clinic, and shared with permission.

No appointments — just come in. Before 10am and weekday afternoons are quietest.

The thirty-patient cap

We stop at thirty patients a day so nobody is rushed. On a full day we will say so and ask you to come back.

Urgent eye problems

Sudden vision loss, flashes and floaters, a chemical splash or an eye injury — call and come straight in.
